Meet Melissa Lyon, Owner

Melissa received her Master’s degree in Audiology from Indiana University and shortly thereafter received her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. She moved to Marion in 1986. After working over twenty years with the local Ear, Nose and Throat physicians of Marion, she opened her own practice, Hearing Health Associates, P.C., in 2007. Melissa is Board Certified by the American Academy of Audiology, a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. Since 1982 she has been a Course Director for the Council for the Accreditation of Occupational Hearing Conservationists. In 1985 she started her own Industrial Audiology practice, servicing multiple industries in the tri-state area and conducting seminars for occupational health services through two Indianapolis hospitals. Over the years, Melissa has seen hundreds of patients for diagnostic hearing testing and the fitting of hearing aids. She has volunteered her time to go on numerous mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Haiti, providing educational services, as well as, hearing services and hearing aids to adults and children. The knowledge and experience Melissa has acquired over her years of service sets her apart from many of her competitors. She knows you can improve the quality of someone’s life by improving how they hear; however, each patient has their own specific listening needs and concerns which must be addressed.
